CATEGORIES AND PARTICIPATION – DESERT TROPHY PANDA EDITION 2026
At the Desert Trophy Panda, the spirit of family and model affinity is very important to us — which is why no member of the Panda family is excluded.
In the upcoming edition, there are three ways to participate in the Desert Trophy Panda within the RAID Category(either 4×2 or 4×4), competing daily in the General Classification and completing 100% of each stage’s route; PANDA 169 Category: Open to both 4×2 and 4×4 vehicles, following a unique route for both drive type; ADVENTURE Category: Also open to both 4×2 and 4×4 vehicles, featuring shortened and simplified stages, skipping the most difficult sections, allowing for more leisure time or a more relaxed experience
OFFICIAL CATEGORIES FOR CLASSIFICATION:
RAID 4×2 (Seat Marbella or Fiat Panda)
RAID 4×4 (Fiat Panda 4x4)
PANDA 169 (Mixed 4×2 and 4×4)
ADVENTURE (Mixed 4×2 and 4×4)
At the end of the event, one winner per category will be declared.
VEHICLE PREPARATION RULES
Vehicle modifications are entirely open, with only a few conditions based on the type of Panda and the requirement to have a valid MOT (ITV) at the time of departure:
Panda I (Body 141 – Seat Marbella or Fiat Panda, 1980–2003)
Engine: Free, up to a maximum displacement of 1,300cc
Tires: Max wheel rim size 14”
Panda II (Body 169 – Fiat Panda, 2003–2012)
Engine: Must be stock (1.1 MPI, 1.2 Fire, 1.2 8V, 1.4 16V, or 1.3 Multijet)
Tires: Max wheel rim size 14”
Extensive modifications are not necessary. In fact, over-preparation can lead to lower reliability and higher maintenance costs.
Good off-road tires, reinforced underbody protection, upgraded suspension, and a thorough pre-departure check-up are usually more than enough to enjoy the adventure.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT PER VEHICLE
Tow strap of at least 3 meters + 2 D-shackles
Tow hooks securely mounted on both front and rear
Off-road tires
Metal fuel jerrycan (min. 10 liters)
Fire extinguisher (min. 2kg)
2 full spare wheels (rim + tire)
Engine skid plate
Sand shovel
Help Flash (or similar magnetic emergency flashing/fixed red light) for the upper rear of the vehicle during stages
Basic personal first aid kit, as outlined in the medical section of the Registration Platform
FINISHER RECOGNITION & AWARDS
Our main goal is for as many participants as possible to reach the finish line. Every Finisher will receive a special keepsake as a reward. Collecting Finisher awards over time will become part of the adventure itself.
And of course, final prizes will be awarded to top finishers:

For a category to be officially valid and eligible for classification prizes, at least 5 teams must finish in that category.
Discount prizes for next year’s entry fees apply only to the net amount payable and exclusively for the next edition (Morocco 2027).
Prizes are non-cumulative, non-transferable, and personal to the awarded team.
